She hurriedly drove to the bank making sure she met up all their protocols and the rest, it took her another 3 hours before she got the money cheques and transferred into her own bank account
It's really funny how people perceive and criticize you based on what you wear, she couldn't believe she was delayed and looked down on cos she wore a short jean skirt and tank top, tattoo showing on her shoulder and ankle, with pierced lip.
The customer care service attendant actually gave her the eye, (grading her from head to toe) typical Belema, she just acted oblivious of the stoned look and allowed her cheque do the talking, from a nonchalant hello, to "madam! Please do go upstairs, my manager will attend to you.
The bank manager came and it was from we don't have such amount in this bank to let me see what I can do, she placed a call to chief and the manager got a call from their main office in Lagos, demanding they pay her that cash with immediate effect, damming all the rules of engagement with an individual having such amount etc..
It only turned out for the bank manager asking why she didn't bank with them and all, trying to persuade her..
Driving out of the bank premisses, knowing that her 5different banks will soon send her an alert, she didn't forget to change 10million naira into hard currency (£€$) or pay 500 thousand naira into her younger brother in Malaysia and 1 million into her elder sister in Canada before stepped out with it,
What about the landlord rent you may be wondering, (scoff) that was a typical lie na, who no like money?? She sees chief four times in the year and it's only seasonal for him to pay her rent like this, she has her land at Aluu Choba inside UNIPORT, that is being built so she needs the extra cash, besides, why would she pay for the duplex when it is being owned by one of her numerous client??
Belema was the second of 3 children and she didn't come from a poor family, her and her siblings had the best of education in port-harcourt and the best summer vacations within Nigeria, london and Germany,
Her mother was an international chef and she cooked for top dignitaries In town, her dad wasn't a politician but had ties with almost all of them. They lived a good life everything was always provided for them and they were the envy of all their mates..
Her elder sister Boma and her came during the time when her Dad was at a verge of breaking down, but got a job and until then he has never joked with them both, while her kid brother Siki was her mothers pride, she called him "her husband" most times trying to get back to their father, he loved and cherished the women in his life but most times fate doesn't plan that much for them.
During one of her parents vacations without the kids, the flight they were in crashed and reeves since then, things took another Turn..
